Simon is a very cranky college student at the University of California Berkeley who occasionally writes about himself in the third person when a situation calls for it.
He is an aspiring writer and is Editor-in-Chief of Berkeley's only comedy magazine, The Heuristic Squelch. He's from Los Angeles originally, just like every one else at Berkeley.
